What it does
Anchor is an offline-first note-taking application for web and Android. Users can create rich-text notes with formatting, checkboxes, images, and audio attachments; organize them with tags, pinning, archiving, backgrounds, and trash recovery; and search locally by title or content. The application also supports note sharing with viewer or editor access, library import and export, and an Android home-screen widget.
Anchor stores edits locally and synchronizes changes across devices when online. It is designed for self-hosted deployment through Docker Compose, using a bundled or external PostgreSQL database, persistent volumes, and optional OIDC authentication. The repository also provides prebuilt container images and downloadable Android APKs.
