What it does
Lumina Note is an Electron desktop note-taking application for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Users keep notes as human-editable Markdown files in a local vault, with live preview, reading mode, WikiLinks, backlinks, graph views, images, PDFs, annotations, and flashcards.
Its embedded agent can read, write, reorganize, summarize, connect, and research notes across the vault with permission. It can draft pages, summarize PDFs, generate flashcards, and clean up knowledge. AI providers include local Ollama models, OpenAI-compatible endpoints, multiple hosted providers, and optional Lumina Cloud.
Users can install packaged releases or build the Electron app from source. The repository also documents mobile companion apps, a self-hosted relay, and an extension system, but does not document cross-device note synchronization, web clipping, or real-time collaboration as core workflows.
